About the Role
The Field Service Engineer provides remote and onsite technical support for advanced life sciences instrumentation, including installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair, to ensure customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair instrumentation and related systems at customer sites.
- Provide remote and onsite technical support for customers and internal stakeholders.
- Investigate technical issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
- Conduct testing, validation, and basic laboratory procedures to verify system performance.
- Document service activities, maintenance records, and customer interactions.
- Identify customer concerns and communicate feedback to internal teams.
- Maintain in-depth technical knowledge of products and service procedures.
- Manage service assignments independently and meet deadlines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support customer success.
- Travel extensively to customer locations for installations and repairs.
Requirements
- Associate or Bachelor degree, technical certification, or equivalent experience in engineering, life sciences, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of field service engineering experience in life sciences, diagnostics, medical devices, or related industries.
- Ability to lift and move equipment, work in confined spaces, and perform hands-on technical work.
- Requires work authorization that does not now or in the future require sponsorship of a visa for employment authorization in the United States.
- Must not require visa sponsorship for employment in the U.S.
