About the Role
DARCARS of Silver Spring is seeking a part-time Rental Agent to coordinate rental arrangements for service department customers. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing a great customer experience.
Responsibilities
- Schedule customer reservations for rentals
- Manage customer rental requests and locate desired vehicles
- Process customer information to qualify rental eligibility
- Ensure rental cars are ready for use by scheduling timely service and maintenance
- Clean rental cars inside and out
- Document car condition, mileage, and damage before and after customer use
- Process damage information for billing or insurance claims
- Explain rental policy and answer customer questions
- Validate customer credentials, including driver's license and payment information
- Communicate with customers via phone, email, or in person
- Process customer payments
Requirements
- Valid driver's license and acceptable, safe driving record
- Must be at least eighteen years of age
- Must be able to pass pre-employment screening (background check)
- Offers of employment are contingent upon successfully passing background screening (incl. criminal background check, review of consumer & motor vehicle records, verification of SSN)
- Employment is on an at-will basis & subject to termination if dealership rules & regulations are violated
