About the Role
JCDecaux is seeking a Warehouse Assistant to operate a forklift, manage inventory, and maintain warehouse organization. This full-time position reports to the VP of Materials Management and is based in our Maspeth warehouse.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a forklift to load, unload, and stack products in accordance with company standards.
- Support the team with general warehouse tasks as assigned by the warehouse manager or supervisor.
- Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records by correctly labeling and documenting all products moved or stored.
- Participate in regular stock counts and audits as required.
- Conduct routine checks and maintenance on the forklift, reporting any issues to the supervisor.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.
- Assist in organizing and rearranging stock as needed for optimal space utilization.
Requirements
- At least three years of experience in warehouse, stockroom or inventory control position required.
- Valid forklift operator certification/license is required.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items, up to [weight limit] pounds.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Basic computer skills for inventory and documentation purposes.
