About the Role

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is seeking a Physician Assistant - Surgery to join the team at NYC Health + Hospitals/South Brooklyn Health. This role involves providing clinical care in an outpatient setting, assisting in the Operating Room with a surgical robot, performing inpatient rounds, and counseling patients. The position is part of a redesigned healthcare campus featuring a new hospital and Health & Wellness Institute, with a strong academic affiliation.

Responsibilities

Provide clinical care in an outpatient setting including patient examination, recommendations for and/or interpretation of appropriate routine diagnostic tests.
Inform the supervising physician of all changes in the patient's condition and pertinent diagnostic results.
Assist in the Operating Room with a surgical robot.
Perform inpatient rounds.
Collect data and write pertinent progress notes on charts.
Counsel patients regarding physical and mental health.
Develop patient management plans in accordance with established protocols in conjunction with the attending physician.

Requirements

Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant education program.
Current NYS registration as a Physician Assistant.
Current certification issued by the NCCPA.

Salary/Compensations

$131,127.00 - $174,836.00 Salary/year
