About the Role

We are designing the Grid of the future! Electric Power Engineers, LLC (EPE) has partnered with power and energy clients for over 50 years, focusing on complex engineering and grid modeling challenges. Responsibilities

• Develop and conduct computer modeling and analysis for transmission & distribution planning studies.
• Perform network-wide steady-state and short-circuit studies.
• Contribute to process improvement efforts, including development of Python scripts.
• Gain experience with the Texas and Eastern Interconnection power systems.

Requirements

• Completion of, or current enrollment in, a PhD degree program with a major in Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering Technology from an accredited college or university.
• Completion of, or current enrollment in, power systems fundamentals class(es) (strongly preferred).
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher.
