About the Role

The Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathobiology at the University of Toronto and the Laboratory Medicine Program at the University Health Network (UHN) are seeking an Anatomic Pathologist with expertise in Gastrointestinal Pathology. The role involves fostering excellence in practice, teaching, and research, contributing to diagnostic services, and participating in scholarly work.

Responsibilities

  • Participating in general frozen sections and/or autopsy
  • Participating in diagnostic service for UHN and its client facilities
  • Participating in after hours on-call duties
  • Participation and leadership in collaborative or independent research
  • Publishing scholarly work
  • Demonstrating excellent and innovative scholarship in teaching and education across various levels

Requirements

  • Hold a medical degree
  • Hold certification in Anatomical Pathology from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or its equivalent
  • Be eligible for registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario
  • Sub-specialty fellowship in Gastrointestinal Pathology is encouraged
  • Provide curriculum vitae
  • Provide a brief statement of career plans
  • Provide names of three referees
