About the Role
The Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathobiology at the University of Toronto and the Laboratory Medicine Program at the University Health Network (UHN) are seeking an Anatomic Pathologist with expertise in Cardiothoracic and Autopsy Pathology. This academic role involves fostering excellence in practice, teaching, and research.
Responsibilities
- Participating in general frozen sections and/or autopsy.
- Participating in diagnostic service for UHN and its client facilities.
- Performing after-hours on-call duties.
- Participating in and leading collaborative or independent research.
- Publishing scholarly work.
- Demonstrating excellent and innovative scholarship in teaching and education across various levels.
Requirements
- Hold a medical degree.
- Possess certification in Anatomical Pathology from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or its equivalent.
- Be eligible for registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario.
- Sub-specialty fellowship in Cardiothoracic and Autopsy Pathology is encouraged.
