About the Role
This role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts. It is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to appropriate site contacts and/or emergency personnel.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of campus buildings, classrooms, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, directing individuals to appropriate locations and reporting unauthorized access attempts.
- Maintain accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and shift documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.
Requirements
- Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
- Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Skills
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
