About the Role

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced to provide flexible and dependable security services. This role offers consistent hours at an assigned site with the opportunity to earn more by picking up additional shifts, ideal for those seeking part-time employment with income stability and career growth potential.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established campus protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of academic buildings, common areas, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and report unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately in accordance with site procedures.

Requirements

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants will be subject to a background investigation.
• Applicants will be subject to a drug screen.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
