About the Role
The Data Management Consultant will serve as a strategic partner to engagement leads on the Enterprise Data Issue Management and Federate Data Operations Team, supporting enterprise-wide projects related to the data strategy. This role is responsible for organizing Data Forums to align agendas with Data Strategy priorities and overseeing engagement activities across federated data roles.
Responsibilities
- Partner with engagement leads to elevate common trends and themes for enterprise awareness and action
- Manage Data Forums, including the Data Steward Meeting, Data Council, and Enterprise Data Risk Subcommittee
- Execute on opportunities to communicate objectives, priorities, pain points, and emerging trends related to the Data Strategy
- Produce reporting to monitor program health, business outcomes, data management standards, and stakeholder satisfaction
- Champion continuous improvement and help elevate the organization's engagement model
- Promote an environment that supports belonging and reflects the M&T Bank brand
- Complete other related duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 3 years related experience, or in lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 7 years higher education and/or work experience, including a minimum of 3 years related experience
- Experience consolidating feedback into cohesive themes to influence decisions across business, data, and technology organizations
- Experience in designing reporting used to highlight enterprise priorities
- Ability to balance competing priorities and drive alignment across diverse stakeholder groups
- Basic knowledge of data management concepts, terminology, roles, and responsibilities
