About the Role

The Assistant Property Manager is a leader, community builder, and ambassador of the Tricon brand, partnering closely with the Property Manager to ensure the community thrives, residents feel at home, and the team feels supported. This role blends leadership, service, and operations, ensuring every detail is executed with care and precision, while mentoring and supporting staff to foster a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Champion resident experience by serving as a trusted point of contact.
  • Foster community connections by supporting resident events and initiatives.
  • Provide guidance and support to the concierge team and other staff.
  • Oversee suite readiness and seamless move-in and move-out experiences.
  • Conduct regular property inspections to uphold quality, safety, and appeal.
  • Liaise with residents, vendors, and contractors to resolve maintenance requests promptly.
  • Assist with rent collection, notices, and account management.
  • Oversee security and janitorial contractors to maintain a safe and welcoming environment.
  • Partner with the Property Manager on daily property operations, vendor coordination, and budget management.
  • Consistently demonstrate leadership, cultural awareness, and attention to detail.

Requirements

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to address resident concerns and operational challenges with sound judgment, empathy, and resourcefulness.
  • 1–2+ years of progressive residential property management experience.
  • Hands-on involvement in day-to-day property operations, resident relations, and vendor coordination.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • General knowledge of applicable legislation and regulatory requirements (Residential Tenancies Act, Employment Standards Act, Fire Code, Occupational Health and Safety Act).
  • Willingness to support after-hours emergencies, evenings, or weekends.
