About the Role

Pace-Setting Central Sterile Care: Discover Where Amazing Works. Responsibilities

• Assure that the standards of departmental operations are in compliance with the standards set by regulatory agencies, such as the state Department of Health, Joint Commission and others.
• Supervise and coordinate the activities of personnel in the department, involving sterile and medical supplies and equipment of use in the care and treatment of patients.
• Conduct employee competencies.
• Oversee a team of technicians.
• Act as the voice of what’s effective and emerging in the business of central sterile care.

Requirements

• Prior leadership experience in a major medical center
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
• Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) from the International Association of Healthcare Central Service Material Management or certified by the Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD)
• Two or more years progressive work related experience
• Leadership qualities
• All roles require on-site presence.
• Employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP.
• NYP will not reimburse for travel expenses.
