About the Role
The Baker Mixer's primary responsibility is to mix raw materials to create finished products according to batch recipes, ensuring equipment operates within process specifications and good quality products are produced at all times.
Responsibilities
- Obtains and reviews all documentation for making batches
- Stages and prepares ingredients for blends and mixes as needed for production according to batch sheets and formulas
- Ensures proper and safe operation of the equipment including cleaning and inspection
- Practices and adheres to Food Safety, GMP’s (Good Manufacturing Practices) and Health and Safety
- Regularly monitors that the product conforms to quality and safety specifications
- Strictly follows recipes to make product batches and feed production lines
- Accurately enters mix records onto computer in a timely manner
- Participates in changeovers and clean-up or sanitation of equipment
Requirements
- Completion of high school education or equivalent
- 1-3 years of manufacturing experience
- Food manufacturing experience is an asset
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs
