About the Role

This position provides clinical services as part of an OMH licensed outpatient mental health clinic/CCBHC location, offering interventions including evaluations, individual, group and/or family therapy, case management, and crisis interventions. The role requires the candidate to live within the United States and possess a valid NYS State License.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations/intakes.
• Develop and revise treatment plans in collaboration with clients.
• Provide individual, group, family, and crisis interventions.
• Liaise with families, schools, criminal justice, and other community agencies to coordinate care.
• Provide linkages to embedded care coordination, SUD services, nursing, psychiatric, and medical services based on screenings and client needs.
• Participate in clinical meetings, staff meetings, trainings, and supervision.
• Maintain all documentation according to established standards and time limits.
• Maintain professional behaviors and ethical standards.
• Participate in agency training in evidenced based models.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must live within the United States.
• Must have a valid NYS State License.
• Experience documenting in electronic health records.
• Experience using Microsoft Office.
• Ability to engage with clients and explore their emotions, life events, and resources.
• Skilled in clinical risk assessment and providing trauma-informed, culturally sensitive therapeutic interventions.
• Effective time management skills.
• Understanding of group dynamics and ability to lead clinical group sessions.
• Ability to use clinical assessments to drive referrals.
• Maintain an active and steady caseload.
• Ability to read paper and electronic documents.
• Ability to perform significant data entry into various computer programs.

Experience Level

• A minimum of one year of relevant clinical experience is required.
• Experience treating children or adolescents is preferred.

Education Level

• Master’s degree in counseling, creative arts, or social work from an accredited program.
• New York State License in Mental Health Counseling (LMHC); Creative Arts Therapy (LCAT), or social work (LMSW/LCSW) required.
