About the Role

This position provides clinical services within an Article 31 OMH certified outpatient MHOTRS clinic, serving individuals of all ages and their families using a trauma-informed, evidence-based, and culturally affirming approach. Interventions include evaluations, therapy, care coordination, and crisis intervention.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations and psychosocial assessments.
• Develop treatment plans in collaboration with clients and family members, identifying needs and interventions, and revising them to reflect progress and changing goals.
• Provide individual, group, family, collateral treatment, and crisis services/interventions.
• Be actively self-reflective and self-aware of the impact of clinical and administrative practice on clients, families, and communities.
• Approach work with an anti-racist lens and be open to continuous learning and evolution.
• Liaise with families, schools, criminal justice, and other community agencies to coordinate care.
• Participate in clinical meetings, staff meetings, required training, and supervision.
• Be open and willing to receive constructive feedback.
• Maintain documentation according to established standards and time frames.
• Maintain professional behaviors and ethical standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Attend case conferences as needed.
• Maintain a steady and active caseload.
• Meet minimum expectations for kept visits.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in counseling, creative arts, or social work from an accredited program.
• New York State License or limited permit in Mental Health Counseling (LMHC), Creative Arts Therapy (LCAT), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or social work (LMSW) required.
• Experience treating children or adolescents is preferred.
• Fluency in a second language is preferred.
• Experience with documenting in electronic health records and using Microsoft Office software.
• Experience with tele mental health platforms is a plus.
• Ability to read paper and electronic documents.
• Ability to perform significant data entry into various computer programs.
