About the Role

As a Therapist at The Jewish Board, you’ll provide comprehensive mental health and social services to clients and their families, assessing needs, developing treatment plans, providing counseling, and connecting clients with community resources. You will collaborate with healthcare professionals and external partners to ensure holistic care, delivering clinically sophisticated outpatient care using evidence-based, integrated treatment models with robust support.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver outstanding care to clients.
  • Conduct assessments to determine clients’ social, emotional, and financial needs, identify appropriate interventions, and render mental health and substance abuse diagnoses.
  • Develop and implement individualized, person-centered treatment plans using evidence-based models.
  • Provide individual, group, and family counseling.
  • Deliver in-person and telehealth crisis intervention and support.
  • Coordinate with other mental health and social service agencies and non-agency providers.
  • Refer clients to community resources and support services.
  • Advocate for clients’ needs within the healthcare system.
  • Participate in clinical meetings, staff meetings, trainings, and supervision.
  • Work with the scheduling team to ensure timely initial and follow-up client appointments.
  • Maintain minimum caseload per agency guidelines while achieving productivity targets.
  • Complete annual training in evidence-based interventions and incorporate learned techniques into client care.
  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date client records and documentation.
  • Demonstrate professional behaviors and ethical standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must have at least one of the following: Licensed Master Social Work (LMSW), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) certification, Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), and Licensed Creative Arts Therapist (LCAT).
  • A limited permit will be considered, but the applicant must pass the appropriate licensing exam within 6 months of the start date.
  • Strong understanding of social work principles and practices.
  • Skilled in treating both mental health and substance abuse disorders.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
  • Knowledge of community resources and services.
