About the Role
Mark43's mission is to empower communities and their governments with technology that improves the safety and quality of life for all. We build powerful, scalable software that sets a new standard for the tools first responders rely on every day. We're looking for a Senior Financial Analyst, FP&A to join our Finance team. Reporting to the Senior Manager, FP&A, you'll play a key role in helping leaders across the company make informed business decisions through thoughtful planning, forecasting, and financial analysis. You'll partner with teams throughout the organization, develop insights that influence strategy, and help build scalable financial processes as Mark43 continues to grow. This role is ideal for someone who has built a strong analytical foundation within either a larger, process-oriented organization or an early-stage company that has scaled quickly, and is excited to bring that rigor to a fast-moving software company. You'll have broad visibility across the business, meaningful ownership, and the opportunity to help shape how Finance supports the company's next stage of growth.
Responsibilities
- Partnered with leaders across the business to understand performance, and support strategic decision making.
- Built and maintained financial models that improve forecast accuracy and provide visibility into business performance.
- Supported the monthly forecasting process, annual budget, and long-range planning across multiple business functions.
- Collaborated with Accounting during month-end close to understand financial results, investigate variances, and communicate key drivers to leadership.
- Prepared executive-ready reporting and analyses that translate financial data into clear business insights.
- Identified opportunities to improve planning processes, automate recurring reporting, and reduce manual work across the Finance organization.
- Contributed to board materials, leadership presentations, and other strategic Finance initiatives.
- Support customer collections timing to inform and support the company's broader cash forecast.
Requirements
- Approximately 3-5 years of experience in FP&A, Corporate Finance, Investment Banking, or another highly analytical finance role.
- Strong financial acumen, exceptional analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while partnering effectively across the organization.
- Developed FP&A foundation within a larger, well-established company with mature planning processes.
- Humble, curious, and always looking to learn. You seek feedback, ask thoughtful questions, and continuously improve your work.
- Analytical with strong business judgment. You connect financial performance to operational outcomes and communicate insights clearly.
- Organized and detail-oriented. You bring discipline to your work while balancing multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Process minded with a builder's mentality. You appreciate strong financial rigor and enjoy improving how planning and reporting get done.
- Collaborative and adaptable. You enjoy working across teams, building relationships, and helping the business make better decisions in a fast-paced environment.

Skills
- Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills.
- Experience with financial planning systems such as Adaptive Planning, Anaplan, Pigment, or similar tools.
- Familiarity with ERP systems such as NetSuite and business intelligence tools including Looker or Tableau.
- Experience supporting a SaaS or technology business.
