About the Role

Dominican University New York’s Division of Nursing seeks an outstanding candidate for a full-time, tenure-track nursing faculty position in our CCNE-accredited program. The standard teaching load is 24 credits per academic year. This position will primarily support our Evening and Weekend nursing programs, but may teach across undergraduate nursing programs based on program needs.

Responsibilities

  • Teach 24 credits per academic year.
  • Support Evening and Weekend nursing programs.
  • Teach across undergraduate nursing programs, including traditional daytime courses, based on program needs.
  • Demonstrate flexibility in teaching across a variety of formats and schedules, including day, evening, and weekend offerings.

Requirements

  • Doctoral degree from an accredited college or university (exceptional candidates enrolled in a doctoral program may be considered).
  • At least five (5) years of clinical experience.
  • Unencumbered current New York RN license.
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of hire.

Skills

  • Teaching experience in Nursing higher education.
  • Didactic and/or clinical nursing course experience is preferred.
  • Nursing simulation and simulation-based education is highly desirable.
  • Versatile, committed educators.
  • Commitment to excellence, leadership, and service.
