About the Role
As a leader of the Housekeeping Department, you will be responsible for managing the housekeeping and laundry facilities of the hotel in a safe and cost-effective manner to achieve maximum guest satisfaction and protect hotel assets. Embrace the Company Culture and Guiding Principles.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily cleaning of hotel and grounds according to operational policies and standards to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Schedule associates based on forecasted occupancy and adjust staffing for sudden changes.
- Plan, assign, and supervise daily activities of housekeeping and laundry staff.
- Perform duties of a housekeeper, laundry person, or house person as needed.
- Conduct continuous inspections to assess hotel cleanliness and condition, and perform follow-up actions.
- Schedule and supervise rotational and special cleaning programs.
- Ensure the team has necessary tools and equipment.
- Collaborate with maintenance, including generating work orders and preventative maintenance.
- Manage lost and found.
- Coordinate room availability with front-of-house management.
- Maintain accurate records, logs, parts lists, manuals, and reference books.
- Monitor customer comment cards, identify problem areas, and formulate solutions.
- Maintain proper inventory levels and manage cost per room for supplies and labor.
- Perform monthly inventory.
Requirements
- Keep immediate supervisor informed of all significant problems or unusual matters.
- Perform all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner according to company policies and procedures.
- Maintain a favorable working relationship with all associates to foster a cooperative environment.
- Utilize Management Company resources effectively through regular communication.

- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with guests and team members.
