About the Role

Stripe's Professional Services team is launching a new Forward Deployed Engineering team to build and deliver software solutions directly for strategic users. This role involves shaping product features, building scalable integrations, and developing standalone applications, offering a unique opportunity to impact the global economy.

Responsibilities

• Design and architect robust, secure, and scalable technical solutions aligned with customer needs.
• Design, build, and deploy production applications integrating business logic, Stripe best practices, and user interfaces.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, bridging technical and executive teams.
• Drive the direction of the Forward Deployed Engineering team and contribute to technical projects.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional, hands-on full-stack development experience with languages such as JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Ruby, Go, or Java.
• Experience with backend infrastructure and building scalable systems.
• Demonstrated ability to design, build, and deploy production applications.
• Excellence in rapid prototyping while maintaining quality standards.
• Familiarity with containerized applications and object-oriented programming languages.
• Superb problem-solving skills and the ability to understand the product and business aspects of development.
• Experience working as a software consultant.
• Strong command of distributed systems, API design, and data modeling.
• Familiarity with AI APIs and leveraging AI code generation tools.
• Proven track record of delivering technical solutions in enterprise environments that drive measurable outcomes.
• Passion for handling ambiguity and learning new technologies, frameworks, and tools in various client environments.
