About the Role
Zurich Canada is seeking a Finance Operations Associate to support Financial Operations across a range of general ledger and reporting functions. This role offers a unique opportunity to build knowledge and experience in a supportive environment.
Responsibilities
- Collects and reconciles premiums and non-premiums, invoices or applies cash.
- Collects and minimizes outstanding balances and delinquencies to assigned accounts.
- Anticipates customer needs, monitors trends to recommend changes, and provides regular status updates.
- Identifies and resolves problems, verifies transaction accuracy, reconciles, and performs duties per defined procedures.
- Establishes and maintains internal and external stakeholder relationships, such as brokers and underwriters.
- Provides technical guidance, work direction, and analytical support to the team.
- Analyzes account information to identify and reconcile discrepancies and/or conduct research on financial data.
- Assists and supports department initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree and 3 or more years of experience in Finance Operations OR High School Diploma or Equivalent and 5 or more years of experience in Finance Operations.
- Knowledge of insurance industry agreements and loss-sensitive programs.
