About the Role
Step into the fast lane as our Legal Counsel, where you’ll directly fuel Docebo’s global growth by orchestrating high-stakes enterprise deals. You won't just be reviewing contracts; you'll serve as a trusted business advisor partnering with Sales, Dealdesk, Partnerships, and Finance to close complex tech transactions. In this role, you will navigate cutting-edge AI software terms, drive deal strategy, and protect our business while directly powering our revenue velocity. Responsibilities
- Drive the end-to-end negotiation lifecycle for key global client agreements, including MSAs, SLAs, NDAs, SOWs, and cutting-edge Artificial Intelligence terms.
- Work side-by-side with Sales, Dealdesk, Partnerships, Security, and Finance teams to deliver practical legal advice and help close complex deals efficiently.
- Draft fresh legal templates, perform forensic contract reviews, and proactively negotiate terms that balance business risks with Docebo’s revenue goals.
- Partner with our RFP and Partnership teams to win major tenders, build strategic reseller/referral networks, and negotiate key subcontractor agreements.
- Build streamlined contract management processes, track key benchmarking metrics, and run training sessions to ensure our agreements remain clear, fair, and binding.
- Tackle diverse legal challenges as they arise, advising on product inquiries, sales disputes, contract terminations, and special team initiatives.
Requirements
- Holds a JD/LLB from an accredited law school and is active/admitted to practice law in any province.
- 3+ years of experience as an in-house lawyer in SaaS/Tech, bringing deep expertise in drafting and negotiating subscription software, data privacy, AI terms, and professional services.
- Demonstrates a positive, “can-do” attitude with a talent for balancing risk, compliance, and fast-paced business goals creatively and with high integrity.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a knack for translating complex legal nuances into actionable guidance for internal and external stakeholders.
- Highly organized, self-directed, and results-oriented with the ability to manage multiple high-priority deals under tight deadlines.
