About the Role
This role is to be the lead architect within the RAMPP Trade Processing application teams, driving decisions around system design and ensuring adherence to RBC CM standards. The candidate will review existing system architecture, drive improvements, and lead new initiatives for architected systems and flows.
Responsibilities
- Leads the development and delivery of end to end technical solution architectures for complex projects, ensuring alignment with business strategies and technical roadmaps.
- Collaborates with cross functional teams, senior architects, and stakeholders to identify modernization opportunities, develop solution design patterns, and oversee the implementation of architecture decisions.
- Provides expert guidance on architectural frameworks, integration patterns, and emerging technologies, ensuring innovative and scalable solutions to meet evolving business needs.
- Represents the organization as a technical leader in vendor partnerships, building relationships with third party partners and internal teams to accelerate decision making and resolve complex issues.
- Executes on solution architecture tasks or projects, requiring advanced problem solving, decision making and strategic thinking with some ambiguity.
- Drives decisions on complex issues to develop clear, actionable recommendations for management, ensuring alignment on processes, tools and services with impact across other areas.
- Leverages advanced and creative skills to resolve complex solution architecture related problems, fostering cross functional collaboration to identify and implement innovative solutions.
- Leads and facilitates cross functional collaboration efforts, fostering strong internal relationships across the organization and external partnerships to achieve impactful business outcomes.
Requirements
- Degree in a technical discipline
- Previous experience working in technical roles in any capacity
- 5+ years experience as a solution architect
- 5+ years experience in Capital Markets within trade flow processing
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in any of the asset classes: Fixed Income, FX, Futures, Commodities, Derivatives
- Experience working with various Capital Market vendors
