About the Role

Serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond to situations with professionalism. Engage with employees and visitors, provide exceptional customer service, and use sound judgment while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and caring values with integrity and teamwork.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, laboratories, offices, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
Monitor access points and verify authorization for personnel, visitors, deliveries, and contractors in accordance with site-specific requirements.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting actions taken.
Maintain required armed post readiness, complete accurate activity and incident reports, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Requirements

Possess an armed guard card or license.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
