About the Role
HUB International is seeking a Commercial Lines Account Associate to support their SME Practice, focusing on account retention and growth for small, medium, enterprise businesses, nonprofits, and programs. This role requires strong administrative support and customer service skills, offering exposure to commercial lines business and professional development within a leading insurance brokerage.
Responsibilities
- Provide prompt, courteous, and professional service to internal and external clients, handling coverage inquiries and processing requests.
- Prepare documents such as letters, certificates, renewal packages, policies, submissions, and binders.
- Process endorsements, invoice transactions, and generate reports using various program systems.
- Calculate adjustments and premiums on policies and other insurance documents.
- Assist in collecting Accounts Receivables while adhering to file management standards.
- Participate in training and professional development courses to enhance skills and industry knowledge.
- Proactively work with clients and carrier partners on renewals and endorsements.
- Provide additional support to SME Account Managers, SME Account Assistants, and SME Leadership as required.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 to 2 years of administrative support experience.
- RIBO (Registered Insurance Broker of Ontario) license required or must be obtained within 60 days of hire.
- Experience working in a fast-paced and high-volume environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to work collaboratively as a key member of a team and independently with minimum supervision.
- Strong attention to detail, time management, and analytical skills.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
- 2-5 years of relevant experience.
