About the Role

The Portfolio Management Specialist provides administrative support for the portfolio management function, including filing, scanning, and managing borrower financial information. This role assists portfolio and relationship managers in overseeing the commercial loan portfolio.

Responsibilities

  • Track, request, and collect financial statements within defined timeframes
  • Compile and communicate loan management reports on a timely basis
  • Assist in the management and maintenance of collateral requirements, including ensuring timely insurance policy updates
  • Service client needs, including prompt responses to inquiries and resolution of problems to promote an exceptional client experience
  • Support portfolio managers to ensure that loans in process are completed on a timely basis and in conformity with terms
  • Establish and maintain appropriate files and records for loan documents as required
  • Serve as a liaison with other departments/vendors/auditors as needed
  • Serve as office manager if required
  • Ensure document/data integrity
  • Cultivate relationships with commercial clients
  • Maximize technology tools available
  • Develop use of commercial related software
  • Maintain appropriate borrower files
  • Ensure conformity to loan terms
  • Recommend improvements to procedures
  • Recommend service/delivery enhancements
