About the Role
Assists with identifying and assessing flood-related risks for various Bank products based on pertinent regulatory requirements. Resolves related issues and assists in developing and implementing operational initiatives for the enterprise.
Responsibilities
- Monitor business unit performance and adherence to regulatory requirements for loan closings and portfolio maintenance.
- Review approved credit requests for products from Commercial, Business Banking, and Private Banking to determine applicability of Regulation H (flood).
- Assist with implementing process improvements for timely and efficient review of pending loans.
- Assist in documenting key business unit processes, identifying efficiencies, risks, and internal controls.
- Assist in planning, executing, and reporting on credit facilities reviewed and approved for flood insurance.
- Research and assess flood insurance regulatory requirements impacting Commercial, Business Banking, and Private Banking.
- Escalate regulatory changes to the Flood team for communication to the business.
- Understand and adhere to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies, and controls.
- Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.
- Promote an environment that supports belonging and reflects the M&T Bank brand.
- Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of audit points and addressing issues raised by external regulators.
- Complete other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or a combined minimum of 4 years of higher education and/or work experience.
