About the Role

The Lead NA Aladdin Business Manager will drive strategic projects on Aladdin, our Order Management System, and manage the relationship with Aladdin for Columbia Threadneedle Investments. While the focus is North America, the role is part of a globally aligned team, primarily supporting Investments. Key responsibilities include managing weekly touchpoints with Aladdin, interacting with senior stakeholders, overseeing Aladdin access and permissions, and deepening the use of Aladdin across the organization by staying informed of new functionality.

Responsibilities

  • Project management of Aladdin functionality rollouts, aiming to decommission internal systems that can be embedded in Aladdin.
  • Lead meetings with Aladdin to manage the Investments Book of Work.
  • Coordinate and oversee the Global Book of Work for priority enhancements and projects.
  • Attend and contribute to Executive meetings for prioritization and escalations.
  • Gain a deep understanding of challenging workflows for Investment teams to embed or automate via Aladdin.
  • Proactively identify new projects through engagement with Portfolio Managers.
  • Collaborate with stakeholder business areas to understand priorities and communicate them to Aladdin.
  • Oversee the Aladdin access and permission structure and ensure adherence to audit reviews and controls.
  • Participate in quarterly reviews of Aladdin permissions and access.
  • Engage in ongoing project work to improve the efficiency of the permissions structure.
  • Act as an escalation point and information source for Investments regarding new functionality and system changes.
  • Continuously improve the efficiency and effectiveness of investment processes and workflows related to Aladdin.

  • Ability to deal with complexity and ambiguity and communicate understanding simply and concisely.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to translate technical language to the business.
  • Digest and relay context and priority levels internally and with Aladdin.
  • Applicants must have valid work authorization that does not require future visa sponsorship in the United States.

Skills

  • Aladdin knowledge or alternative OMS system knowledge
  • Passion for automation and AI initiatives
  • Asset Management experience
  • Experience working with third-party providers
  • Experience with systems user access protocols
  • Understanding of Equity, Fixed Income, and Derivative investments
