About the Role
Destination Pet is revolutionizing the pet industry and is looking for an Animal Care Attendant to join their team at New York Dog Spa & Hotel 25th Street. This role is for individuals passionate about animals who want to turn their love for pets into a rewarding career.
Responsibilities
- Keeping pet enclosures and play areas spotless, safe, and sanitized.
- Serving meals and fresh water to pets.
- Monitoring the health, happiness, and behavior of every pet guest.
- Reporting any unusual observations to management.
- Supervising pet playtime.
- Assisting with pet brushing and bath time.
- Handling laundry and pet belongings.
- Making tails wag.
Requirements
- Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Availability on evenings, weekends, and holidays is required.
- Must be able to be on feet for the duration of the shift.
- Must be able to stand, walk and climb stairs frequently.
- Prior kennel or animal care experience is a plus.
- Willingness to get hands dirty.
