About the Role
We are seeking a dependable and hands-on Production Technician Lead to support the daily operations of our production team. In this role, you’ll serve as a peer leader, guiding Production Technicians, assisting with training, and helping to ensure that day-to-day activities in trimming, curing, and packaging run smoothly. The ideal candidate is quality-driven, detail-oriented, and eager to support their team while maintaining compliance with internal SOPs and state regulations. This position reports to the Production Supervisor and serves as a key link between frontline employees and site leadership.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a lead resource for Production Technicians across daily operations including trimming, drying, curing, and packaging of cannabis flower
- Assist with task delegation and day-to-day coordination under the direction of the Production Supervisor
- Train and onboard new team members, reinforcing SOPs, safety procedures, and quality standards
- Perform quality checks and help ensure all products meet visual and compliance standards
- Provide real-time coaching and guidance to peers, promoting teamwork and operational efficiency
- Support accurate data entry and recordkeeping for product weights, batch tracking
- Promote a clean, safe, and compliant work environment through active participation in sanitation and housekeeping
- Act as a communication bridge between production staff and leadership by relaying concerns, improvement ideas, and operational updates
- Assist with maintaining inventory of production supplies and alerting leadership to shortages or maintenance needs
- Step in to perform technician-level tasks as needed to maintain workflow
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1+ year experience in a cannabis, agricultural, or manufacturing production environment.
- Previous peer leadership or mentoring experience strongly preferred.
- Working knowledge of cannabis processing, trimming, drying, and/or packaging preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on teamwork.
- Proficient in basic Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Able to work in a fast-paced, physical environment with frequent standing, bending, and lifting up to 40 lbs.
- Flexible to work various shifts including weekends if needed.
