About the Role

Accendra Health aims to simplify healthcare by delivering care beyond traditional settings, making essential products and services more accessible. As a Delivery Technician, you will play a critical role in delivering durable medical equipment to patients in their homes.

Responsibilities

  • Pull, pack, deliver, and pick up medications, supplies, and basic equipment.
  • Instruct patients on the basic use of respiratory therapy equipment, durable medical equipment, oxygen equipment, and other equipment/services within state licensure limitations.
  • Load and unload durable medical and infusion equipment onto the delivery vehicle.
  • Respond to emergency delivery calls during business hours and on an on-call basis.
  • Complete necessary paperwork, including daily delivery logs, pick-up and delivery forms, and vehicle maintenance logs, and distribute to appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain the supply component of patient profiles.
  • Notify supervisor of any discovered instances of physical abuse, unsafe home environments, or unsanitary conditions due to animals.
  • Clean and assist with equipment repair.
  • Perform routine vehicle maintenance, including checking fluids, tire pressure, and brakes, and report malfunctions to the supervisor.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent education or experience.
  • At least one year of related experience.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age at the time of hire.
  • Minimum of three years of driving history.
  • Successful completion of Apria Healthcare's Driver Training Program.
  • Meet job-related requirements to comply with DOT, FDA, and standards of the accrediting body.
  • English proficiency (reading, writing, verbal).
