Responsibilities
- Functions knowledgeably in patient care duties.
- Complies with quality assurance, HIPPA, customer focus, infection control, safety, and other policies.
- Responds appropriately to patient inquiries, providing accurate information and referring physician's office inquiries.
- Answers all calls pertinent to the assigned area, directing clinical calls to appropriate personnel.
- Works with patients and other office personnel to coordinate care.
- Ensures patient films are accounted for and returned to the correct destination.
- Makes follow-up phone calls to patients as directed by the provider.
- Reviews and approves provider dictations and faxes them to referring physicians.
- Obtains prior authorization for diagnostic testing and procedures.
- Enters patient data into EMR, including prescriptions, diagnostic testing, and outside procedures.
- Schedules follow-up appointments for office visits and internal/external diagnostic testing.
Requirements
- General office skills, including typing.
- Strong planning, problem-solving, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Working knowledge of general office equipment (fax, copy machines, multi-line phone system, personal computers).
- Working proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Ability to address and resolve conflict professionally.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
- Ability to be flexible.

Work Type
- Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm
- 40 hours/week
Experience Level
- 2 years related experience
- 3+ years related experience in a clinical setting
Education Level
- Associates Degree
- High School Diploma/GED
Salary/Compensations
- Rates are commensurate with experience
- Most candidates will start within the first quartile of the pay range
