About the Role

The Senior Business Systems Analyst will be a member of NBCUniversal’s Video Platform Software Engineering organization, concentrating on Ad Sales technology. This role ensures our Ad Sales business can perform their day-to-day activities utilizing our integrated systems by providing front-end user support, back-end monitoring, and troubleshooting for systems related to sales, planning, pricing, campaign management, traffic/operations, creative, promotions, ad serving, delivery, and billing.

Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of all types of tickets from a queue to analyze and follow up on requests while meeting established SLAs.
  • Work in a team setting with counterparts on solving issues, but also able to work solely while providing updates to stakeholders.
  • Understand how issues impact the business and escalate critical issues when necessary.
  • Document and follow standard operating procedures for production troubleshooting and incident management.
  • Leverage AI tools to aid in issue resolution and documentation.
  • Understand system design to guide others on complex business logic and troubleshoot calculation, integration, and backend data issues.
  • Identify and manage defects and work with vendors and engineering teams to resolve and implement solutions.
  • Collaborate with varying teams to understand system functionality and architecture to solve issues, document in a knowledge base, and gain a better understanding.
  • Analyze process and system issues and suggest areas for improvement and solutions, such as automation opportunities.
  • Determine alerts, monitors, and logging needed to identify problems before they occur, help troubleshoot, and prevent issues.
  • Works occasional evenings during special events.
  • Rotating weekend on-call shifts for urgent issues and provide backup coverage as needed.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience working in an ad sales system.
  • Experience troubleshooting software, system integrations, and other technology issues.
  • Experience with SQL.
  • Experience with customer interactions and maintaining positive relationships.
  • Willingness to have a flexible work schedule to meet operational and special event coverage needs.
