About the Role

The Senior Business Systems Analyst will be a member of NBCUniversal’s Video Platform Software Engineering organization, concentrating on Ad Sales technology. This role ensures our Ad Sales business can perform their day-to-day activities utilizing our integrated systems by providing front-end user support, back-end monitoring, and troubleshooting for systems related to sales, planning, pricing, campaign management, traffic/operations, creative, promotions, ad serving, delivery, and billing.

Responsibilities

Take ownership of all types of tickets from a queue to analyze and follow up on requests while meeting established SLAs.
Work in a team setting with counterparts on solving issues, but also able to work solely while providing updates to stakeholders.
Understand how issues impact the business and escalate critical issues when necessary.
Document and follow standard operating procedures for production troubleshooting and incident management.
Leverage AI tools to aid in issue resolution and documentation.
Understand system design to guide others on complex business logic and troubleshoot calculation, integration, and backend data issues.
Identify and manage defects and work with vendors and engineering teams to resolve and implement solutions.
Collaborate with varying teams to understand system functionality and architecture to solve issues, document in a knowledge base, and gain a better understanding.
Analyze process and system issues and suggest areas for improvement and solutions, such as automation opportunities.
Determine alerts, monitors, and logging needed to identify problems before they occur, help troubleshoot, and prevent issues.
Works occasional evenings during special events.
Rotating weekend on-call shifts for urgent issues and provide backup coverage as needed.

Requirements

Minimum 5 years of experience working in an ad sales system.
Experience troubleshooting software, system integrations, and other technology issues.
Experience with SQL.
Experience with customer interactions and maintaining positive relationships.
Willingness to have a flexible work schedule to meet operational and special event coverage needs.
