About the Role

AP Plumbing is seeking a Commercial Plumbing Foreman to oversee plumbing installation and related activities on high-volume multi-family building projects. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong technical plumbing knowledge, team management, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of journeyman plumbers, apprentices, and subcontractors on active construction sites.
  • Ensure all installations comply with plumbing codes, blueprints, and project specifications.
  • Conduct regular pre and post-project site inspections and quality control checks.
  • Coordinate with other trades to avoid conflicts and maintain workflow efficiency.
  • Identify and resolve field issues, change orders, and technical problems promptly.
  • Train and mentor plumbing crew members.
  • Interface with inspectors, clients, and project managers regarding progress and compliance.
  • Ensure proper testing and commissioning of plumbing systems.

Requirements

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 5 years of commercial plumbing experience, with a strong background in multi-family projects.
  • Proven Foreman or Lead experience managing crews of 5-15+ preferred.
  • Current Journeyman or Master Plumbing License preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of multi-unit rough-ins, top-outs, fixture installations, and backflow prevention.
  • Proven ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record required.
  • OSHA certification preferred.

  • Proficient in using construction management software (e.g., Procore, PlanGrid) and Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of safety regulations (OSHA 30 preferred)
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and lift up to 75lbs
