About the Role
AP Plumbing is seeking a Commercial Plumbing Foreman to oversee plumbing installation and related activities on high-volume multi-family building projects. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong technical plumbing knowledge, team management, and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of journeyman plumbers, apprentices, and subcontractors on active construction sites.
- Ensure all installations comply with plumbing codes, blueprints, and project specifications.
- Conduct regular pre and post-project site inspections and quality control checks.
- Coordinate with other trades to avoid conflicts and maintain workflow efficiency.
- Identify and resolve field issues, change orders, and technical problems promptly.
- Train and mentor plumbing crew members.
- Interface with inspectors, clients, and project managers regarding progress and compliance.
- Ensure proper testing and commissioning of plumbing systems.
Requirements
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum 5 years of commercial plumbing experience, with a strong background in multi-family projects.
- Proven Foreman or Lead experience managing crews of 5-15+ preferred.
- Current Journeyman or Master Plumbing License preferred.
- Strong knowledge of multi-unit rough-ins, top-outs, fixture installations, and backflow prevention.
- Proven ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record required.
- OSHA certification preferred.
