About the Role
Develop and implement design strategies to enhance the patient and family experience in healthcare facilities, working closely with healthcare professionals to create a welcoming and functional environment.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the team to understand patient and family needs and develop design solutions.
- Create and present design concepts, including floor plans, color schemes, and material selections.
- Manage and oversee the implementation of design projects, ensuring timely and budget-compliant completion.
- Source and select furniture, fixtures, and equipment according to design standards and budget.
- Conduct site visits to assess design needs and recommend improvements.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in healthcare design.
- Work with contractors and vendors to ensure quality and timely delivery of design elements.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of design projects.
- Collaborate with other departments to align design projects with the overall brand and mission.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of design principles, color theory, and space planning.
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team and independently.
- Knowledge of building codes and regulations related to healthcare design is a plus.
