About the Role

As an experienced Estimator, you will play a crucial role in preparing project estimates by analyzing specifications and contract plans to ensure cost-effective quantities and construction methods align with pursuit, schedule and price goals. Responsibilities

• Reviews proposal specifications, drawings, and attends pre-bid meetings to determine scope of work and required estimate contents.
• Incorporates historical data from purchase orders, subcontracts, and productivity analysis reports into unit and person-hour figures.
• Provides technical input regarding project and contract risks to the lead estimator.
• Reviews the final estimate to ensure defined work aligns with overall project schedule and cost goals.
• Prepares discipline estimates by calculating complete takeoff of scope of work and material quantity requirements from engineering drawings.
• Monitors client addendums and advises the estimating team on changes during the estimate period.
• Assists with design review options and recommends the best solution based on cost, engineering quality, or material availability.
• Partners with the estimating team to prepare and conduct project hand-off meetings between pursuit and project management teams.
• Researches and recommends vendors and subcontractors for designated scopes of work to achieve pursuit and cost goals.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field required.
• 5+ years of experience in construction industry, estimating or cost control preferred.
• Specialized knowledge and experience in alternative construction delivery methods.
• Advanced knowledge of HCSS Heavy Bid Estimating Software.
• Strong technical writing skills.
• Able to lead pursuit and estimating activities on a large or complex pursuit project.

Salary/Compensations

• CAD $150,000.00/Yr. - CAD $180,000.00/Yr.
