About the Role

We are seeking a full-time Attorney to join our federal court litigation practice, focusing on challenging delayed or denied petitions for immigration benefits and handling complex removal cases for investors. This role involves applying administrative law principles to immigration regulations and participating in impact litigation.

Responsibilities

  • Review administrative records to develop legal basis for challenges to adverse agency decisions.
  • Provide legal research and analysis on immigration issues in federal court.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, and other litigation documents for filing with federal courts.
  • Prepare and conduct arguments before federal judges.
  • Represent clients in complex removal proceedings involving investment-based migration.
  • Present on federal court litigation options to internal and external audiences.
  • Work closely with the firm’s marketing manager on marketing and business development efforts.
  • Develop expert level understanding of your client base and administrative law principles as applied to immigration.
  • Partner with colleagues to resolve client issues, share information and support client projects.
  • Communicate regularly with clients regarding procedural issues and case processing.

Requirements

  • J.D. degree from an accredited U.S. law school.
  • Bar admission.
  • 5 years of experience in federal court practice.
  • Strong background in administrative law principles.
  • Litigation experience on behalf of the federal government is welcome.
  • Strong verbal and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain a client-friendly focus.
  • Willingness to learn and take on added responsibilities.
  • Ability to show initiative and work as part of a team.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with competing demands.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Willingness to attend networking conferences and travel for business development opportunities as needed.
