About the Role
Healthy Kids Programs is hiring School-Age Childcare Staff for our Before and After School Program at Healthy Kids Programs Early Learning Center in Kendall, NY for the 2026–2027 school year. This role is ideal for individuals who love working with children and helping them learn through play and positive experiences.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Lead Teacher to facilitate hands-on activities aligned with the Creative Curriculum, tailored to the unique needs and interests of the children.
- Maintain regular communication with parents and family members through the Playground App, ensuring transparency and engagement in their child's daily experiences.
- Cultivate positive adult-child interactions utilizing the CLASS method, fostering an environment where every child feels valued and supported.
- Support the education, health, welfare, and safety of classroom members and the entire center community by adhering to ECERS/ITERS standards and protocols.
Requirements
- 18 years or older and hold a High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 1 year of experience working with kids under 13 preferred.
- Required health clearance, including TB screening, in accordance with state regulations.
- Must demonstrate a positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and reliability.
- Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds while actively engaging with children throughout the day.
