About the Role

Provide oversight and supervision to the YESS (Youth Employment Support Services) Program offered by CCTT in Tioga County, supporting youth in the region with social-emotional skill building, post-secondary readiness and promoting inclusive conversations around identity and community. Staff will follow school schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises YESS Coordinators, including hiring, evaluating, and promoting ongoing staff development.
  • Provides immediate and ongoing recognition and feedback on employee job performance.
  • Is responsible for the YESS program at designated schools.
  • Provides monthly reports to the school district, Department of Social Services, and Executive Director.
  • Reviews and approves the YESS Coordinator’s monthly report.
  • Develops and approves monthly calendars of activities.
  • Establishes smart goals tailored to individual student needs.
  • Provides family guidance and support, fostering communication between home and school.
  • Minimizes barriers that interfere with or impede school performance.
  • Ensures youth access available programs and services, advocating when necessary.
  • Works with the finance team on the vouchering process and submits to DSS.
  • Tracks program grants and expenses.
  • Writes grants and participates in grant activity with the grant writer.
  • Organizes activities and field trips to enrich experiences outside the classroom.
  • Attends all staff meetings and other Catholic Charities functions.
  • Completes other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Associates degree in social sciences, human services, psychology, or related field preferred.
  • Valid NY State Driver License and access to a reliable vehicle.
  • A minimum of three years’ experience working with at-risk youth.
  • Supervision skills preferred.
  • Relevant years of experience and education will be considered.
  • Adheres to all applicable federal and state laws and regulations.
  • Must pass a background check.
