About the Role

University Settlement partners with over 40,000 New Yorkers annually, aiming to foster healthy, stable, and remarkable lives through collaborative social services. Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust all rooms daily.
• Clean restrooms daily or as needed.
• Clean building lobby, stairs, and elevators daily.
• Assist in opening and closing the building.
• Sign for and verify delivered goods.
• Remove garbage and trash daily.
• Sweep and maintain the exterior building perimeter daily.
• Complete special projects as needed.
• Perform other related assignments as directed by the supervisor.

Requirements

• Experience in general maintenance work is required.
• Must be reliable and punctual.

Skills

• Knowledge of standard building systems, including electrical and plumbing is preferred.
• Fire Safety Certification is preferred.

• Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm
• Some evenings and weekends may be needed
• Up to 15 hours per week

Salary/Compensations

• $20.00 - $22.00 Hourly
