About the Role

BCG is seeking an experienced Editorial Director to lead the strategy and execution of a global campaign focused on artificial intelligence. This role involves defining and executing a cross-channel AI content strategy, managing the development of editorial features, and overseeing content pipelines to ensure alignment with campaign priorities and audience needs.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the global campaign team to define and execute a cohesive, cross-channel AI content strategy.
  • Work closely with campaign leadership and AI experts across the firm.
  • Conceive and manage the development of editorial features tied to campaign priorities.
  • Showcase BCG insights on AI subtopics, themes, and emerging areas of interest.
  • Take a portfolio view of AI content pipelines across the firm.
  • Ensure alignment with the campaign’s content strategy and audience priorities (CEO, CXO, and practitioner).
  • Improve quality in formats ranging from articles and reports to videos and infographics.
  • Ensure BCG’s insights are market-leading and differentiated.
  • Work closely with topic experts and leverage GenAI tools to storyline BCG data and research.
  • Provide developmental editing to ensure content is compelling and differentiated.
  • Identify new opportunities for thought leadership and initiate/drive content projects.
  • Shape questionnaires, analyze data, and extract stories for flagship reports.
  • Serve as a writer to seize opportunities for timely market insights.
  • Cultivate relationships within the campaign and across the business.
  • Act as an advisor, influencer, and problem solver.
  • Distill complex concepts into clear messages that advance BCG’s global AI narrative.
  • Shepherd a data-driven content strategy and ensure alignment among senior stakeholders.
  • Serve as the line manager for an Editor dedicated to the AI campaign.
  • Provide editorial guidance and hands-on developmental editing across a range of content pieces.
  • Ensure published content reflects clear priorities and is supported by well-defined channel strategies.
  • Promote best practices in content development and strategic use of metrics.
  • Identify content gaps across complex pipelines based on internal priorities and market research.
  • Make recommendations for new and innovative content across channels.
  • Develop and update external messaging and talking points for BCG thought leaders.
  • Help define KPIs for content across owned and earned channels.
  • Take action to help move work forward and show initiative in solving problems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field with demonstrated high academic achievement.
  • Minimum 10 years of work experience in a professional editorial environment.
  • Integrated marketing experience, with a focus on thought leadership campaigns.
