About the Role
Blacksmith is extending its CI infrastructure into a broader platform, including agent sandboxes and a background coding agent. This role focuses on making these products enterprise-grade to cater to large engineering organizations.
Responsibilities
- Own the roadmap for making Blacksmith enterprise-ready across CI, sandboxes, and the coding agent.
- Operate like a GM for the enterprise segment, owning outcomes across product lines.
- Define and drive security, auditability, and compliance features, including audit logging, SIEM integrations, certifications, and trust documentation.
- Shape the enterprise networking strategy, including static egress identity, egress policy controls, private connectivity, and tenant isolation.
- Own enterprise identity and administration, including SSO, roles and permissions, org management, and least-privilege integration models.
- Build programmatic surfaces for enterprises, such as usage and cost APIs, cost attribution, and integrations with observability and cost-management tools.
- Collaborate with sales on enterprise deals, translating feedback into a prioritized roadmap.
- Own packaging and pricing for the enterprise tier with GTM.
Requirements
- Have strong judgment regarding product development priorities.
- Shipped enterprise capabilities at a growth-stage infrastructure or developer-tools company.
- Experience taking a product through SSO, RBAC, audit logs, and security reviews.
- Matured a post-PMF product, focusing on core product improvement for large customers.
- Technical understanding of CI/CD, cloud networking, and compute platforms.
- Experience selling to or working closely with enterprise buyers (VP Eng, Head of Platform, CISO).
- Familiarity with procurement cycles, security reviews, and compliance frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA).
- Proficient with AI tools in daily workflow (e.g., Claude, Cursor).
- Comfortable with MCP and CLI-based tooling.
- Instinctively automate manual aspects of the PM job.
- Customer-first approach and ability to act as the voice of the customer internally.
