About the Role
This role supports Foreign Exchange (FX) and Money Market business activities, working closely with traders, clients, and various internal teams. The successful candidate will support day-to-day client coverage, trade execution, market commentary, treasury product support, and operational coordination, offering exposure to institutional and corporate clients and global markets products.
Responsibilities
- Support and service corporate and institutional clients across Foreign Exchange (FX) and Money Market products.
- Execute FX and Money Market transactions through various communication and trading channels.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships by understanding treasury, liquidity, and funding requirements.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders including Trading, Operations, Settlements, Compliance, Legal, and Corporate Banking teams.
- Monitor market events, economic indicators, interest rate developments, and market activity to support client discussions.
- Assist with cash management, collateral management, and credit-related processes.
- Support trade settlement and operational workflows to ensure timely and accurate execution.
- Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and risk management standards.
- Provide exceptional client service while supporting business growth initiatives.
- Contribute across multiple business functions within a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in Foreign Exchange (FX) sales, trading support, treasury, or a related capital markets environment.
- Experience with Money Market products, including REPO transactions.
- Knowledge of Fixed Income products and market fundamentals.
- Understanding of trade settlement processes and operational workflows.
- Familiarity with collateral management concepts and processes.
- Banking or Financial Services industry experience.
- Strong client-facing, communication, and relationship management skills.
- Understanding of Canadian banking regulations and industry practices.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Experience supporting institutional or corporate treasury clients.
- Exposure to global markets, treasury products, or capital markets operations.
- Knowledge of liquidity management and short-term funding products.
