About the Role
Seeking an exceptional and energetic House Manager for a wonderful family in the West Village. This full-time role requires strong leadership, delegation, and autonomous project management skills. The ideal candidate is solution-oriented, efficient, and ready to take initiative to improve household operations. The position is available to start immediately.
Responsibilities
- Manage repairs, upkeep, and vendors for 4 homes
- Manage household spending, reducing waste and aligning with principals' priorities
- Identify and vet trustworthy vendors, leveraging existing resources if available
- Oversee household supplies, coordinating restocking with other staff
- Manage inventory of clothing, including packing and unpacking with housekeeper support
- Lead and manage part-time and full-time household staff in a supportive manner
- Provide calendar management as needed
- Assist with personal shopping, gift buying, and gift wrapping
- Plan and supervise home entertainment, parties, dinners, and events
- Recruit, train, and oversee household staff
- Manage the purchasing, stocking, and organizing of household items and groceries
- Assist with general dog care, including house/pet sitting and scheduling vet appointments
Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs
- Pet-friendly with no pet allergies
- Professional demeanor and ability to handle confidential information discreetly
- Empathetic and able to remain calm in high-pressure situations
