About the Role
This role involves preparing and delivering lecture materials for CHMD41H3: Physical Organic Chemistry, a course focused on the principles governing organic reactions. Responsibilities
- Preparation and delivery of all lecture materials
- Design and administration of assignments, term tests, and final examinations
- Providing detailed guidance and feedback on student literature review projects and associated peer-review reports
- Marking student work throughout the term
- Managing any university-approved extensions beyond the term
- Submitting final grades via eMarks
- Holding regular weekly office hours
Requirements
- PhD in Organic Chemistry or a closely related field
- Active research experience in topics directly relevant to physical organic chemistry
- Strong publication record in topics directly relevant to physical organic chemistry
- Prior independent university-level teaching experience, ideally within similar advanced chemistry courses
