About the Role
Assist customers in selecting furniture by understanding their needs and helping them create a warm and inviting home. The ideal candidate is highly driven and self-motivated, excelling individually while being a supportive team member. They contribute to overall store success and customer satisfaction, consistently meeting established sales goals.
Responsibilities
- Provide excellent service to customers from contact through delivery and beyond.
- Demonstrate professional verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to connect and establish relationships with a diverse group of customers.
- Build relationships with customers both independently and in collaboration with our Interior Design Consultant.
- Reinforce customer selections and assist in completing the look of their rooms.
- Provide product, service, and finance expertise based on customer needs.
- Utilize company-provided tablets and proprietary technology for customer communication.
- Engage with clients by entering client information using Havertys customer relationship management system and provide professional follow-up.
- Maintain knowledge of a broad range of furniture styles and products.
Requirements
- Must demonstrate excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple customer communications simultaneously.
- Positive and engaging personality.
- Creative flair and energetic attitude.
- Proficient in resolving customer objections and ensuring satisfaction.
- Computer proficiency including email experience required.
- Tablet/iPad operation abilities strongly preferred.
- Required to work retail hours including nights and weekends.
- Frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Must regularly lift and/or move more than 20 pounds occasionally.
- Varying color recognition is required.

- $55,000 to $100,000+ per year
- $87,000 on average nationally in 2025
