About the Role
The Product Research team is Fidelity's centralized source for high quality mutual fund analysis and expertise. The team is the key liaison with Fidelity's investment staff around the globe and acts as the "voice of the portfolio manager" in Canada. As the Product Support Specialist, you will work closely with Investment Analysts to support the production of fund update materials and manage product content.
Responsibilities
- Build, update, and enhance presentations and communications for Portfolio Managers and senior leadership.
- Perform data quality reviews and maintain fund updates, including MRFPs, QFRs, and materials for the sales team.
- Identify and implement solutions to improve efficiency and effectiveness through process simplification and automation.
- Partner with Investment Analysts to support the production of fund update materials.
- Support Product Directors on ad-hoc product information requests and targeted data analysis.
- Act as the primary product content manager, coordinating and submitting required material for marketing and compliance review.
- Oversee regulatory reviews through data analytics for the Product Research Team, including Fund risk, category analysis, and Fund Fact data reviews.
Requirements
- University degree or equivalent work experience.
- 1-3 years of financial services experience, preferably with investment product experience.
- Strong interest in developing product expertise and understanding how investment strategies translate into client outcomes.
- Understanding and demonstrating curiosity for investing.
- Proven ability to analyze, condense, and communicate large sets of data.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work well independently and within a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong proficiency in MS Suite, including Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Bilingualism (French/English), both verbal and written, is an asset.
- Strong knowledge of VBA and Python is an asset.
