Responsibilities
- Timely pickup, labeling, loading, and delivery of shipments using required equipment, policies, and procedures.
- Driving a tractor-trailer unit to one or more customer locations and returning to the original domicile during the same shift.
- Loading, unloading, shipping, receiving, scanning, sorting, and stocking packages.
- Utilizing heavy machinery to complete tasks.
- Delivering and picking up packages to and from residential and/or commercial properties.
- Utilizing safe transportation methods to get to and from destinations.
- Ensuring the best customer service through efficiency and dedication.
- Leveraging technology to effectively aid in delivery services.
Requirements
- Must meet qualifications at the time of applying.
- Class A CDL with tractor/trailer experience.
- Ability to drive an automatic & manual transmission.
- HazMat endorsement.
- Pass a UPS road test, a DOT physical including a drug screen, and all necessary background checks.
- Utilize various pieces of Material Handling Equipment (MHE) including pallet movers and stand-up forklifts to load/unload palletized freight.
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.
- Comply with UPS appearance guidelines and wear the company-provided uniform.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or National of the U.S., an alien lawfully admitted for permanent residence, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S. for this employer.
