About the Role

Join the PDF Spaces incubation team within Document Cloud to reimagine how people interact with, navigate, and get value from documents using AI. This is an opportunity to work on ambitious new experiences in Acrobat, defining the interaction model in uncertain situations and collaborating closely with research and engineering.

Responsibilities

  • Explore ambiguous, early-stage problem spaces generating concepts and stress-testing assumptions.
  • Develop sketches, end-to-end flows, prototypes, and polished UI.
  • Translate complex, AI-powered capabilities into natural experiences for everyday document users.
  • Develop and advocate for a strong point of view grounded in user research and data.
  • Partner with research, product management, engineering, and content strategy to ensure alignment and rapid progress.
  • Drive alignment through compelling storytelling and present build rationale confidently.
  • Uphold a high bar for design craft and contribute to the growth of teammates.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of product design experience, or a related degree with equivalent practical experience.
  • A portfolio demonstrating strong UX and visual design across responsive, multi-surface experiences.
  • Experience working in early-stage, exploratory, or 0-to-1 product spaces.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to make progress without a clear brief or complete information.
  • Strong visual and interaction craft, with the range to move from rough explorations to polished, shippable UI.
  • Proficiency in Figma and ability to convey ideas through prototyping in Figma, Cursor, etc.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and solid grounding in core UX principles and methodologies.
  • Empathy for both customers and teammates, with a process rooted in listening and understanding.
  • Ability to clearly communicate complex ideas verbally and in writing, at all levels of the organization.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML-powered product experiences.
  • Experience designing accessible and inclusive interfaces for people with disabilities.
  • Understanding of applying WCAG conformance criteria in design.
  • Work from early-stage or exploratory projects: how you navigated ambiguity and brought others along.
  • How direct customer research built your design decisions.
  • Examples of range: rough thinking alongside polished execution.
  • How you’ve partnered cross-functionally and moved work forward without a fully defined path.
