About the Role

Adobe Design is seeking a Sr Product Designer for the PDF Spaces team, focusing on tools used by over 600 million monthly active users. This role involves reimagining document interaction, navigation, and collaboration, creating intuitive environments for complex document workflows. The position is early-stage and exploratory, requiring definition of interaction models, decision-making in uncertain situations, prototyping, and close collaboration with research and engineering.

Responsibilities

  • Design sketches, end-to-end flows, prototypes, and polished UI, adapting processes to the problem.
  • Translate complex user needs into practical, human-centered solutions balancing business and user needs.
  • Develop a strong point of view grounded in user research and data to advocate for solutions.
  • Build positive relationships and collaborate with product, engineering, and design partners.
  • Drive alignment through compelling storytelling and present design rationale confidently.
  • Build usable, useful, modern, and accessible experiences within PDF and document workflows.
  • Uphold a high bar for design craft and contribute to the growth of teammates.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of proven product design experience, or a related degree with equivalent practical experience.
  • A portfolio demonstrating strong UX and visual design across responsive, multi-surface experiences.
  • Proficiency in modern design and prototyping tools, including Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and solid grounding in core UX principles and methodologies.
  • Empathy for customers and teammates, with a process rooted in listening and understanding.
  • Ability to clearly communicate sophisticated ideas verbally and in writing, at all levels of the organization.
  • Comfort collaborating across functions and contributing to an inclusive, empowering environment for fellow designers.
  • Adaptability to design with current and emerging technologies and evolving user experience patterns.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML-powered product experiences.
  • Experience designing accessible and inclusive interfaces for people with disabilities.
  • Understanding of applying WCAG conformance criteria in design, specifically testing comps, wireframes, and prototypes for accessibility standards.
  • Submit resume and portfolio, highlighting thoughtful, high-craft solutions, impact of customer research on design decisions, cross-functional partnership, and navigation of complexity and ambiguity.
